No s\u00e9culo II a.C., os romanos entraram pela primeira vez em Espanha, como resultado da luta pela hegemonia sobre o Mediterr\u00e2neo ocidental.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"viewer-dnlt5\" class=\"mm8Nw _1j-51 roLFQS _1FoOD _3M0Fe Z63qyL roLFQS public-DraftStyleDefault-block-depth0 fixed-tab-size public-DraftStyleDefault-text-ltr\"><span class=\"_2PHJq public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\">Foi um processo muito longo e complexo para os romanos, que come\u00e7aram no leste e no sul, avan\u00e7ando para oeste e terminando no norte de Espanha. Os romanos demoraram dois s\u00e9culos a conquistar completamente a Espanha, mas acabaram por ficar sob o dom\u00ednio romano durante cerca de 700 anos.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"viewer-1sdlo\" class=\"mm8Nw _1j-51 roLFQS _1FoOD _3M0Fe Z63qyL roLFQS public-DraftStyleDefault-block-depth0 fixed-tab-size public-DraftStyleDefault-text-ltr\"><span class=\"_2PHJq public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\">Durante este per\u00edodo, a Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e9rica era conhecida como Hisp\u00e2nia. Os romanos importaram todos os seus costumes e cultura para os territ\u00f3rios conquistados, um processo conhecido como \"romaniza\u00e7\u00e3o\".
