The Alentejo, in southern Portugal, is bordered by Spain to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. It is an area of breathtaking scenic beauty, an enviable archaeological and ethnographic heritage and a gastronomic excellence that can be seen, for example, through its wines.<\/span><\/p>\n

The grape harvest is the harvesting of the grapes that will be used for the production of wine. In Portugal, a major wine producer, the time of harvest always depends on the annual climate (and location). Other factors such as the desired degree of ripeness and the type of wine to be produced must also be taken into account.<\/span><\/p>\n
